Boyabat

When you looked at a map of Turkey you can see Sinop in mid-north of Turkey. Sinop is a province of 81 provinces of Turkey. Boyabat is the largest town of Sinop.

Boyabat was founded in 700 BC. It is 90 kilometres far from Sinop, inside the land to the South of Sinop. People usually prefer the picnic places, Kalebağı resort, Bürnük resort , Akgöl resort etc from Spring to Autumn.

Boyabat is surrounded by several hills which covered pines trees. Boyabat is popular with its large castle, Boyabat Castle which dated with foundation of the town. Recently, new tunels were found going down about  by 400 steps from the top of the castele to the Gazidere stream. Boyabat Castle has many legends and a deep history.
